AbstractMuhammadiyah is an Islamic organization in Indonesia that contributes greatly in the field of education. The education sector is a Muhammadiyah charity that is rapidly developing. Exploration of philosophical concepts which is believed by Muhammadiyah is based on Islam, so as a logical consequence, Muhammadiyah tries and furthermore bases Muhammadiyah's educational philosophy on the philosophical principles that it believes in and adheres to. The philosophy of education manifests the foresight of the generation that will be raised. In this regard, the educational philosophy of Muhammadiyah cannot be separated from the philosophy of Islamic education, because what Muhammadiyah does is essentially Islamic principles which according to Muhammadiyah are the basis for the formation of Muslim human beings

Nasal Packing after Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery

This chapter was to have a systematic review and meta‐analysis on the available literature in order to compare the efficacy and postoperative outcomes of nasal packing (absorbable vs. nonabsorbable) after treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS). The systematic review included five studies with 241 nasal cavities in each treatment group. The prevalence of synechia in the absorbable groups ranged from 4.6 to 8.0% while nonabsorbable groups ranged from 8.0 to 35.7%. The absorbable group had a lower postoperative bleeding; however, there were no clear findings on postoperative pain. Postoperative edema was in general similar among groups, and no consistent findings were found on bleeding and pain while removing packing. The meta‐analysis included two studies using the same type of packing material. The combined OR (0.33, 95% CI = 0.04–2.78) for postoperative synechia did not significantly favor (P = 0.016308) absorbable packing over nonabsorbable packing. The available literature showed that there is some evidence that absorbable nasal packing may provide superior outcomes to nonabsorbable packing after FESS. However, lack of homogeneity between these studies makes it impossible to have a definitive conclusion

    Directed diffraction without negative refraction

Using the FDTD method, we investigate the electromagnetic propagation in two-dimensional photonic crystals, formed by parallel air cylinders in a dielectric medium. The corresponding frequency band structure is computed using the standard plane-wave expansion method. It is shown that within partial bandgaps, waves tend to bend away from the forbidden directions. This phenomenon perhaps need not be explained in terms of negative refraction or `superlensing' behavior, contrast to what has been conjectured.Comment: 3 pages, 4 figure

Deep Recurrent Neural Network for Intrusion Detection in SDN-based Networks

    Get PDF
Software Defined Networking (SDN) has emerged as a key enabler for future agile Internet architecture. Nevertheless, the flexibility provided by SDN architecture manifests several new design issues in terms of network security. These issues must be addressed in a unified way to strengthen overall network security for future SDN deployments. Consequently, in this paper, we propose a Gated Recurrent Unit Recurrent Neural Network (GRU-RNN) enabled intrusion detection systems for SDNs. The proposed approach is tested using the NSL-KDD dataset, and we achieve an accuracy of 89% with only six raw features. Our experiment results also show that the proposed GRU-RNN does not deteriorate the network performance. Through extensive experiments, we conclude that the proposed approach exhibits a strong potential for intrusion detection in the SDN environments
